26 FBI sources were present on January 6th

Twenty-six FBI confidential sources were present in Washington, D.C. on January 6th, 2021, with four entering the Capitol and thirteen accessing the restricted area around the building.

Fox News reported Thursday night the bombshell finding released by the Department of Justice (DOJ), noting that the FBI director, Christopher Wray, told congress while under oath in 2022 that he wasn’t sure there were undercover agents at the event.

But on Thursday, the U.S. DOJ Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, said there were over two dozen confidential human sources on the ground.

Horowitz also said only three were assigned by the FBI to be present at the event, and that none were directed by the FBI to break the law or encourage others to do the same.

The report comes one day after Wray resigned from his role.

“If you uttered the facts in this IG report last year, you were labeled a ‘conspiracy theorist.’ It’s also notable that the IG report came out literally the day after Christopher Wray resigned,” said tech billionaire and DOGE lead Vivek Ramaswamy.

These findings further the case by many Republicans, including Congressman Thomas Massie, that federal government agents were participating in the January 6th event.

Massie claimed that the report vindicates him after being called a conspiracy theorist for suggesting the FBI was guilty of entrapment.

The reported attendance of 26 staff, while only 3 were tasked to be present, raises suspicions on the conduct of the 23 additional assets.

In 2022 alone, the January 6th committee spent more than $3 million dollars continuing to fuel the politics of the event in a campaign against pro-Trump Republicans.

The event was used in Democrat ads and campaigns in 2024, resulting in a resounding Trump victory and return to the White House in the new year.

The political significance of the event also encouraged the Trudeau Liberals to designate the Proud Boys as a terrorist organization, the only country to do so, further undermining Canada’s national security credibility in front of the incoming Trump administration.

President Trump has in the past vowed to pardon January 6th protestors, and with recent revelations may have even more precedent to do so.
