BC Conservatives invite Kevin Falcon to buy a membership if he wants to unite

In response to BC United (BCU) Leader announcing that he is considering a merger between his party and the ascendent BC Conservative Party, The Counter Signal has learned that no real talks have been held, despite Falcon’s strange assertion. The Executive Director of the BC Conservatives told The Counter Signal on Wednesday that the last time they spoke with the deteriorating BCU, Kevin Falcon told them to “F*ck off.”

BC Conservatives invite Kevin Falcon to buy a membership if he wants to unite

BCCP’s chief, Angelo Isidorou said that no talks have taken place so far but that BCU leader Kevin Falcon and everyone else in the BC United Party are welcome to buy a membership to the newly popular Conservative Party.

“As noted by our leader, the Conservative Party of BC is committed to running 93 candidates for the upcoming election. Whether it’s every poll in the past nine months, or the massive crowds at our rallies, it’s become clear the Conservative Party of BC is the only viable option to defeat the BC NDP,” BC Conservative Executive Director Isidorou told The Counter Signal.

Isidorou’s comments come after an article was published yesterday in the Vancouver Sun suggesting that intense talks between the two parties could lead to a merger.

BCU Leader Kevin Falcon is suddenly keen on merger talks

Speaking to reporters in Victoria yesterday, Kevin Falcon was cited as saying that leaders from the two parties were now in talks after months of polls consistently showing that the BC Conservatives are the only party that can dethrone the NDP and that the BCU has no chance, with many denouncing the BCU as vote splitting.

“Four more years of that government [the NDP], I think, will be, frankly, economically devastating for the province of British Columbia,” Falcon said. “And that’s why we have to put aside our own egos, our own party issues, everything else, and just figure out whether there’s common ground.”

For better or for worse, merger talks don’t appear to be happening, with the leader of the BC Conservatives, John Rustad, confirming as much.

According to Isidorou, “There have been no official talks taking place with BC United. There have been various individuals from the business community who have reached out to meet with them on our behalf. So far, no option has been presented. The last time we had talks with BC United was in December when Kevin Falcon told us to “F*ck off” in response to us reaching out.”

“Clearly, things have now changed,” he continued. “As always, our door is open to all who want to buy a membership and join our Conservative Party of BC.”
