BREAKING: George Chahal accused of facilitating CERB fraud

Notorious porch pirate George Chahal has just been accused of advising people to commit CERB fraud by Conservative MP John Brassard.

“Imagine a member of the Liberal caucus being accused of directing his constituents on how to fraudulently claim the CERB,” Brassard began, referring to Chahal, while speaking in the House of Commons.

“According to a caller on a talk radio show the day after the election, this member had encouraged numerous people to claim CERB when they didn’t qualify by splitting self-employment income with family members,” he continues. “In fact, in one area of this member’s riding, seven-in-ten residents over 15 received the CERB, one of the highest concentrations in Canada according to a Canadian Press report.”

“If this is true, how seriously would the Prime Minister take claims of advising people to commit fraud against one of his MPs?”

The Liberals barely responded, merely stating that PM Justin Trudeau doesn’t tolerate fraud.

“Well, I’m awfully glad to hear the minister say that there’s no tolerance for fraud,” Brassard continued. “The caller also stated that for the savvy advice, I gave the member of Calgary Skyview my vote, and he was telling everyone to do that.”

“Asked by the host what he would do if the CRA came knocking, he said, ‘Well, I’m sending them straight to his office because it was all his idea, and everybody in Skyview did it.’ Everyone 15 years of age or older.”

“Does the Prime Minister agree that CERB fraud is a serious issue and the possibility that a member of the Liberal caucus was directing people to commit fraud requires an investigation?”

In addition to today’s accusation, George Chahal and his team are still under investigation by the Commissioner of Elections Canada after he was caught on camera removing his opponent’s election material.

No criminal allegations have been proven in court.

Reporter Keean Bexte previously confronted Chahal over his coloured victory when heading into CTV News’ HQ in Calgary.

“Mr. Chahal,” reporter Keean Bexte began, “could you tell me from how many houses did you steal election campaign material? How many houses was it, and were you targeting specifically houses that had conservative lawn signs?”

Chahal stayed utterly silent as he masked himself — clearly uncomfortable with the attention.

“Did you just make up the polling location that you sent Conservative voters to,” Bexte asked as Chahal hurried away. “Would you call that voter suppression?”

“Did you just make up the polling location that you sent Conservative voters to,” Bexte asked as Chahal hurried away. “Would you call that voter suppression?”

Again, silence.

“That’s what many are calling it,” Bexte explained, “and they’re saying you only won the election because you suppressed the vote. Could you elaborate just a little bit because I’m sure your friends at CTV are not going to be asking you these questions?”

Later that night, Chahal admitted his wrongdoing, telling the CTV hosts that stealing his opponent’s election material was a “dumb mistake.”

Despite admitting this on live television, no justice has been served so far. Moreover, as the case has been handed off to Justin Trudeau’s handpicked Commissioner, it is unlikely that justice will ever come.

The Counter Signal has reached out to George Chahal for comment regarding the recent allegations. We will update this story if he responds.
