Climate radicals were booted from the Canada Strong and Free Networking Conference (CSFN) after screaming about forest fires during Pierre Poilievre’s speech.

Poilievre’s speech at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa was interrupted after about 20 minutes when two women walked between the aisles to the center of the room and began screaming hysterically about wildfires, eventually leading to the removal of both of the climate radicals.

The audience immediately cheered in response, with the crowd chanting “Axe the tax,” referring to the Liberal Government’s carbon tax.

“Whenever I announce my plan to axe the tax, there’s such an outburst in enthusiasm,” Polievre joked.

Police escorted the activists out of the building. At the time of print, it’s unclear what, if any charges were laid.

The CSFN (formerly the Manning Centre) hosts an annual conference bringing together Conservatives from various walks of life, from social media influencers to politicians.

The conference kicked off Wednesday night, with former Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Abbott arguing in favour of continuing to fund Ukraine in their war against Russia, and support for Israel in their ongoing war with Hamas.

Man charged for starting wildfire that liberals blamed on climate change

In January, A 22-year-old man from Nova Scotia was charged with starting the biggest wildfire recorded in the province’s history — and one that several liberals blamed on climate change.

Dalton Clark Stewart was charged after lighting a fire on private property and leaving it unattended, which caused The Barrington Lake wildfire.

The fire grew up to 235 square kilometres (23,525 hectares), removing 6000 people out of their homes, and burning 60 down.

Days after the incident, Immigration Minister at the time Sean Fraser blamed the wildfire on climate change while speaking in parliament, and criticized conservatives for failing to take appropriate action.

“When I arrived in Ottawa this afternoon, Conservative MPs insisted we repeal policies designed to fight climate change,” Fraser said.

“Climate change is real. Let’s treat it with the seriousness it deserves.”

Numerous Liberal MP’s shared and reposted Fraser’s statement on their social media, including the Climate Change Minister Steven Guilbeault.

Despite the forest fire being man-made, Guilbeault used the incident as an excuse for why the Liberal Party’s carbon tax is very much needed.
