CNN is in a death spiral among 24-to-54-year-old viewers

It’s been a bad year for CNN, to say the least, and 2022 could be even worse.

It’s been a bad year for CNN, to say the least, and 2022 could be even worse.

The DailyMail just revealed that the darling-outlet of the Democrats is on a death spiral when it comes to viewers targeted by advertisers.

Within the first week of 2022, the news outlet lost 90 per cent of its viewers in the 25-to-54-year-old age group compared to the same time frame last year. In terms of viewers, CNN only managed to lure in 548,000 viewers compared to the 2.7 million it retained in 2021.

In the first week of 2021, CNN coverage mainly concentrated on the January 6 Capitol incident, which the outlet framed as domestic terrorism and an insurrection.

Over the last year, CNN has been plagued by several sex scandals, including re-hiring admitted public masturbator Jeffrey Toobin and covering for accused sexual harasser and former New York governor Andrew Cuomo.

The network also recently let go of the disgraced governor’s brother CNN headliner Chris Cuomo after it was revealed that he used his position to help his brother’s defence.

While CNN continues to plunge in popularity, Fox News is consistently topping ratings while accurately reporting on the January 6 investigation.

Is it any surprise that Americans are sick of CNN? This is the same network that had Don Lemon parade Jussie Smollett as an American hero after he faked a racist attack against himself to gain attention.

Editor of the Spectator Amber Athey put it best when she said that the network is responsible for “protecting perverts and pedophiles.”

Other critics have also slammed CNN for its recent actions.

‘Given the sheer number of public sexual misconduct allegations – from harassment and child sexual violence to abusing one’s journalistic credentials to try to silence women who have made allegations – it’s fair to ask whether these are indicative of a broader cultural rot at the network that’s being papered over as they focus on other priorities,” journalist Drew Holden told Fox News.
