During a news conference on Thursday, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announced a new vaccine mandate for all provincial public servants.

“Our top priority throughout this pandemic has been ensuring the health and safety of all Albertans, and that includes our public service. We know vaccines are the best way to keep everyone safe, so it makes sense for the Alberta Public Service to make this a requirement,” said Kenney.

This new mandate will affect roughly 25,500 Alberta Public Service employees, who will now be forced to receive the experimental mRNA vaccine — which is known to cause myocarditis (severe heart inflammation) — by November 30.

According to the Alberta government, they will now implement the Restrictions Exemption Program in all eligible Government of Alberta facilities.

Thus, any employees who wish to dodge the vaccine will need to receive accommodation based on the Alberta Human Rights Act, produce a negative PCR test, or rapid test result within 72 hours of every scheduled work shift on an ongoing basis.

Moreover, as of December 14, these tests will need to be paid out of pocket by employees.

Earlier this year, CBC found that a private COVID-19 test can cost anywhere between $160 to $1200 per test. And with employees essentially needing tests every three days, the costs of private testing can severely impair an employee’s ability to make a living.

“Employees who do not submit proof of vaccination will be required to obtain an accommodation based on the Alberta Human Rights Act or produce a negative PCR (molecular polymerase chain reaction) or rapid test result within 72 hours of every scheduled workday or shift, on an ongoing basis. Effective December 14, these tests will be required and paid for by employees,” said public service commissioner Tim Grant.

Beyond the real costs of not getting the vaccine in terms of livelihood and expediency, those choosing to remain unvaccinated will receive additional “education” from the provincial government. How much this re-education program will resemble the brainwashing scene from ‘A Clockwork Orange’ remains unknown, but unvaccinated employees can be sure the government will make the process as arduous as possible.
