Atlanta Hawks’ Brandon Goodwin says that he is adamant that the COVID vaccine gave him blood clots and that the NBA told him to keep quiet about his condition.
“I got sick, and I never quite recovered from it,” Goodwin said on a Twitch stream later published on YouTube.
“I would always have back pain. I was just super tired in the games. I was so tired. I felt like I couldn’t run up and down the court. My back was hurting. My back really started hurting bad. Then, I’m like, ‘OK. I need to go to the doctor. That’s when I found out I had blood clots. That all within the span of a month.”
Goodwin blames the vaccine exclusively, saying he was completely fine before taking it and within a month needed to end his 2020 season.
“I was fine until then,” continued Goodwin. “I was fine up until I took the vaccine; I was fine. People trying to tell you, ‘No. It’s not the vaccine.’ How do you know? You don’t know.
“Yes, the vaccine ended my season,” Goodwin stated. “One thousand percent.”
He says that after he was admitted to the hospital, an official for the Atlanta Hawks reached out to him to tell Goodwin that they would be releasing a press release on his resignation.
He also alleges that the official told him to keep quiet about his condition and what he believed caused it and that he has no idea when he will be able to play again.
“I don’t know where I’m playing at this year. I’m not going to lie to y’all; I don’t know. (The Hawks) were just like, ‘Don’t say anything about it, don’t tell anybody. I’m like, ‘Bruh, what?'”
