Alberta’s NDP leader Naheed Nenshi has deleted a social media post—without apologizing—after he falsely quoted the UCP’s Jennifer Johnson.

Nenshi attempted to smear the recently reinstated UCP member over comments that led Premier Danielle Smith to remove her from the caucus.
The comments in question came from a 2021 meeting with constituents, during which Johnson was secretly recorded. In the recording, Johnson criticized gender ideology in schools, highlighting instances of students identifying as “furries” and teachers allegedly placing litter boxes in classrooms, and doctors chemically castrating 14-year olds, sterilizing them, when almost all kids and youth grow out of their gender confusion by 18.
Here’s the now deleted video.

Will the leader of the @albertaNDP, Naheed Nenshi, apologize for falsely attributing a vile, made-up quote to Jennifer Johnson?@nenshi??? We are waiting. https://t.co/DS72d1mJaO pic.twitter.com/SXFDYOC0t2
In referencing the overarching madness of the entire transgender craze in schools, Johnson said it “is more than a teaspoon of poop in the cookie batch.”
However, in falsely quoting her, Nenshi said that Johnson said “If we have trans kids in our schools, that’s like having a teaspoon of poop in the cookie batch.”
Despite deleting his post, it was viewed more than 75,000 times.
