The authoritarians in charge of Australia have arrested star Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic after rescinding his visa for being unvaccinated and are about to deport him.

It all began when border authorities approved Djokovic’s medical exemption as he was set to play in the Australian Open in Melbourne next Monday.

Soon after he landed in the country, he was subject to interrogation by border officials who told him that his visa would be repealed.

“Today, I exercised my power… to cancel the visa held by Mr. Novak Djokovic on health and good order grounds, on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so,” Immigration Minister Alex Hawke said.

Djokovic’s tragic treatment has sparked international outrage against Australia, which is ruled by one of the strictest and totalitarian COVID regimes in the Western world.

Since Djokovic’s detainment was announced, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has stood by his countryman.

“Novak, we stand by you,” wrote Vucic on Instagram.

“If you wanted to ban Novak Djokovic from winning the 10th trophy in Melbourne, why didn’t you return him immediately, why didn’t you tell him ‘it is impossible to obtain a visa’?”

Djokovic’s deportation is currently under appeal, and a hearing is set for Sunday. His lawyers have called the government’s actions “patently irrational.”

To date, he has been under house arrest in a refugee hotel for six days and is being treated as if he was a criminal for making a personal decision regarding his health.

The world is watching as Australia persecutes Djokovic. If it could happen to a world-renowned star tennis player, then it can happen to any of us.
