In recent months, Quebec health authorities have not been forthcoming about Covid-19-related statistics regarding hospitalizations and deaths by vaccine status.

Ontario stopped publishing Covid-19 hospitalizations by vaccine status on June 30. Quebec has done the same since July 6.

Réinfo Covid, the collective representing a group of doctors and other health practitioners who are at odds with the provincial authorities, published an information page titled Tableau de bord de la COVID-19 au Québec, or the Dashboard for COVID-19 in Quebec.

They begin by criticizing the health authority for discontinuing data based on vaccination status, which the health authority deems no longer “representative.”

As per Réinfo Covid’s Covid-19 dashboard for data updated on July 4, 2022, the last public data available for these sets for the 28 preceding days reveal that:

  • According to data from the authorities, a person vaccinated with three doses has 3.65 times the risk of contracting COVID-19 compared to an unvaccinated person.
  • In terms of new hospitalizations, those vaccinated with three doses are very overrepresented, with 70% even though they constitute 51.2% of the population.

In a separate publication, Les vaccins ne sont pas la solution, or Vaccines are not the solution, the collective shows Covid-19-related deaths by vaccination status.

Documents obtained through access to information laws from the provincial health authority, Santé Québec, show that of the 3,450 correctly categorized COVID-19 deaths since the start of the 4th wave (July 18, 2021), 95.7% (3,303) are adequately vaccinated, while 4.3% (147) are unvaccinated.

As shown in the graph above, the vaccinated, who comprise 84.8% of the total population, represent 95.7% of deaths; they are vastly overrepresented.

In comparison, the non-vaccinated, who make up 15.2% of the population, represent only 4.3% of deaths; they are, therefore, vastly under-represented.

“By no longer making the data public, by not giving the number of deaths according to vaccination status, the authorities are knowingly hiding the truth. It is extremely serious,” the collective says.

Other statistics from the dashboard page include the following:

  • 99.8% survival rate from Covid-19
  • 98.1% of deaths include at least one comorbidity
  • 83.9 is the average age of death from Covid-19

Réinfo Covid also refers to how TVA Nouvelles, a popular French mainstream news outlet in Quebec, is recently presenting articles that doubt the vaccines are the “solution.”

“We have just obtained data from Santé Québec that allow us to conclude almost definitively: no, vaccines are not the solution,” affirms the collective.
