Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral Castle Thursday afternoon, surrounded by her family.

According to a statement by the Royal Family, “The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

Her late majesty served as Queen of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms for over 70 years.
