Scheer tweets picture of Trudeau in blackface amid ‘straight pride’ T-Shirt fiasco

Conservative MP Andrew Scheer reminded Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about his past, on Monday, tweeting a picture of the PM in blackface.

This follows Pierre Poilievre’s “straight pride” T-Shirt fiasco, when the opposition leader was photographed next to a man wearing a shirt that said “Thank a straight person today for your existence,” and “straight pride.”

Poilievre has been lambasted for the incident by several of Trudeau’s ministers, and even Trudeau’s Chief of Staff, Katie Telford, acted outraged over the issue.

But Scheer came to his boss’s defense on Monday, asking “Has Trudeau remembered how many times he wore blackface yet?”

Included in his tweet, Scheer attached a picture of the Prime Minister in Blackface — one of the three times the PM has been photographed doing such.

A number of the Trudeau Liberals have used the straight pride T-Shirt incident to say that Poilievre is a bad apple.

Poilievre didn’t march in a Pride parade & didn’t bother to show up to the Parliament Hill Pride flag raising,” said Liberal MP and renowned virtue signaler, Adam van Koeverden.

Van Koeverden added, “But he’s just thrilled to get a photo with a homophobic fan! Don’t buy the “I didn’t see his shirt” BS… Yeah you did, Pierre. Grow up.”

Poilievre’s spokesperson Sebastian Skamski said Poilievre didn’t read the T-Shirt at the time of the photograph, and Poilievre himself has said he doesn’t agree with the T-Shirt’s message.

Prime Minister Blackface

Perhaps, the most infamous of all scandals, Trudeau’s coloured history of wearing blackface makeup made Canada a laughingstock on the world stage for the duration of the 2019 Federal Election.

Over the course of the election, various media outlets uncovered three photos and one video of Trudeau proudly wearing blackface — and not a hint of shame can be seen on the renowned Social Justice Warrior’s face in any of them.

In the video, Trudeau is seen covered head to toe in dark makeup, sporting a t-shirt with a bundle of bananas on it, and acting, arguably, like a monkey. Apparently, Trudeau thought this was an excellent getup for his high school’s collaborative student video.

Of course, the most covered of his blackface incidents is his browning up for an ‘Arabian Nights’-themed teacher’s event where he went all out to portray Aladdin.

Trudeau, fearful that more pictures may emerge, later admitted that he “cannot recall” how many times he had worn blackface.
