Freedom Convoy organizer Tamara Lich joined in on some holiday fun by reading a passage from a Dr. Seuss-inspired Christmas book that mocks Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s dictatorial ways.

Tamara Lich reads “How the Prime Minister Stole Freedom”

Lich, who is currently on trial for her role in the 2022 Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa, read a passage from How The Prime Minister Stole Freedom, written by Derek Smith and Kaede Knipe.

“Sir, the truckers are furious with mandates and rules, they claim that we are the ones that are fools, they saw that we ignored their requests and their rights, and they will continue to protest with no end in sight!” Lich read.

“They’re driving their trucks here, they’re already deployed, and some are calling it, a Freedom Convoy!” she continued.

Reading other passages from the book were prominent social media voices such as Viva Frei, Kat Kanada, MartyUpNorth, The Pleb Reporter, Shadoe Davis, Cory Morgan, and Chris Barber. Barber is also on trial for his role in the Freedom Convoy.

The humorous book largely details the 2022 Freedom Convoy and the Prime Minister’s handling of it, including how he hid from protesters by claiming he had been exposed to COVID (even though he had just received his third vaccine).

Lich’s trial expected to resume in January

Lich’s trial, which began in September, has faced several delays and is expected to resume in January 2024.

Lich is currently on trial for a mischief charge, as well as advising others to commit mischief, namely through telling protesters to “hold the line” after she was arrested.

In October, the Crown dropped a bail violation charge against Lich for allegedly violating her bail conditions last summer. Crown attorney Siobhain Wetscher stayed the charge, telling the court that doing so would permit more time to conduct the primary criminal trial against Lich.
