Today, thousands of pro-freedom protesters assembled in front of Vancouver City Hall to protest the province’s implementation of vaccine passports.

A protest outside Vancouver City Hall has materialized in the same vein as protests last week at hospitals all across Canada.
The group involved is against the upcoming BC Vaccine Passport.

Protesters can be seen with both professionally made and homemade signs expressing their indignation, with slogans such as “My body, my choice”, “Coercion is not consent”, “Dictatorship or Democracy?” and other messages regarding the dubious efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines prominently featured.

Additionally, chants of “Lock her up!” can be heard calling for the detainment of B.C. Health Officer Bonnie Henry after she helped implement the much-despised vaccine passport.
Last week, one nurse was injured during anti-passport protests; however, today, protesters have been peaceful while demonstrating against government tyranny so far, and there are no significant conflicts to report beyond traffic congestion.
The protests appear to be organized by We Are All Essential, who request business owners, employees, and customers unify in opposition to the vaccine passport and support freedom of choice and bodily autonomy.
Vancouver Police say they are aware of the protests and that they could grow quite large.
“We are monitoring the situation and have a number of options should any protest put peoples’ health and safety at risk,” Sgt. Steve Addison said.
Additionally, social media companies are working overtime to suppress alleged “misinformation” espoused at the protests.
“We’re seeing Facebook and Twitter taking down posts from people that are clearly sending out the wrong information,” Jeffrey Dvorkin, former director of the journalism program at the University of Toronto, said in an interview with NEWS 1130.
“I think more of that should happen. But I’m also a great believer in free speech. So that is the balancing act,” he continued.
He then went on to claim that pro-freedom protesters, whom he assumes are all “anti-vaxxers”, are “on the wrong side of society and the wrong side of history, frankly.”
