As UK police officers scour social media posts hoping to arrest people for inciting violence against immigrants, 4chan users on /pol/ are sharing screenshots of prank police reports sent to their online system.

Trolls descend on Manchester Police, while the force arrests people for social media posts

Riots in the UK have been occurring in various locations across England and Northern Ireland since a 17-year-old man went on a stabbing spree at a children’s dance event in a small northwest England town. Police haven’t identified the motivation for the heinous act that killed three children and injured several others.

The director of public prosecutions of England and Wales subsequently issued a dystopian warning to citizens, stating that merely retweeting a social media post that’s “insulting” to an ethnic group could lead to criminal charges.

But anonymous 4chan users have found a loophole, namely through the UK’s online live reporting forum that allows for live conversations with police with anyone in the world.

One user wrote in, “Hello sar I must report a terrible crime of unjust. I see British woman with full open bob and vegina but she say no to me when I tell her I want to make sexy sex with her. I show her my *************** but she still say no. This is hate crime?”

Another user wrote, “I be doing the shitting in the street soon ma’am it’s an emergency.”

Another one wrote, “A white woman turned me down for sex. She was very rude and racially insulted me.”

Police are seen responding by asking users to stop wasting their time.

More than 400 people have been arrested and 100 charged since the riots began, including some arrests strictly related to social media posts deemed to have incited violence.

While /pol/ is known for its significant user base in the United States, it is not exclusively used by Americans. As of 2022, /pol/ is recognized as the most active board on 4chan.
