The latest 338 Canada polling indicates that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party has reached a new low, after what was a dismal summer.
The October 15 update shows that, if an election were held today, the Trudeau Liberals would win between 63 — 123 seats. At best for the Liberal Party, those numbers would mean they would lose to a minority Conservative government.
The Conservatives would have a 83% chance of winning a majority government if an election were held today. 170 seats are required to win a majority government, and Philippe Fournier’s 338Canada shows Poilievre’s Conservatives winning somewhere between 157 — 219 seats.
Abacus Data
This latest poll follows a September 14 polling by Abacus Data that showed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s disapproval numbers are the highest since he was elected in 2015.
57% of Canadians polled disapprove of the Trudeau Liberals, compared to 29% approving.
“Those disapproving of the federal government’s performance is up 4 points (to 57%) since last week reaching the highest it’s been since 2015,” stated Abacus Data’s David Coletto.
Moreover, 41% of committed voters would go with the Conservatives compared to just 26% preferring the Liberals.
Nazi Embarrassment
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau formally addressed the Nazi celebration that took place in parliament five days after it happened, refusing to apologize for any personal wrongdoing or oversight, instead offering an apology from “parliament.”
Trudeau said the Liberal MP and Speaker of the House, Anthony Rota, was solely responsible for the invitation and recognition of the Nazi veteran.
While Trudeau refused to personally apologize, he offered “parliament’s unreserved apologies.”
