The Conservative Party of BC has called for Premier David Eby to fire the Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, for her failure to lift the vaccine mandate on healthcare workers amid the province’s staffing crisis.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, Conservative MLA Bruce Banman laid in Dr. Henry and the entire NDP government.
“In the midst of a healthcare staffing crisis, Dr. Bonnie Henry and this NDP government have banned thousands of healthcare workers from working in BC’s hospitals, clinics, doctor’s offices, and ERs,” he said.
“Enough is enough,” he added, before a group of grumbling NDP MLAs.
“Question to this NDP Premier — will you fire Dr. Bonnie Henry — or do you want to wait for working class, everyday British Columbians to elect a Conservative government and fire you both?”
As previously reported by The Counter Signal, BC’s policy was so extreme that even those with legitimate medical conditions or those with religious reasons not to get vaccinated were not exempt from having to provide proof of vaccination.
In fact, there were absolutely no exemptions to BC’s vaccine passport system.
“Those rare people who have a medical reason why they can’t be immunized … they will not be able to attend those events during this period,” Henry said at the time.
“This is a temporary measure that’s getting us through a risky period where we know people who are unvaccinated are at a greater risk, both of contracting and spreading this virus.”
Currently, vaccine data dumps are casting shadows over the ‘safe’ vaccines that Henry mandated, suggesting more lawsuits could be coming.
