Billboard Chris says he plans to sue Vancouver police after trans activists attacked him on Friday while officers stood by and laughed.
Billboard Chris has been peacefully protesting on behalf of children’s rights across North America for a few years. He stands against children getting prescribed puberty blockers in the name of “gender-affirming care.”
One police officer was seen laughing while he was attacked on Friday.
“I need to sue the VPD. I have to,” Billboard Chris later tweeted.
“The assault on our kids can’t continue, and the police enabling anarchy and violence can’t continue either.”
The laughing officer later told Billboard Chris that no arrests would be made because the fight was “mutual.” However, video footage reveals Chris was merely standing in a public space and giving an interview when a group of activists swarmed around him.
The activists were screaming obscenities inches from his head, and then one punched him and threw him to the ground.
Chris asked the officer why she wouldn’t charge anyone who assaulted him.
“You have a right not to be here,” the officer told Chris.
This incident comes just weeks after Calgary’s mayor banned children’s rights activists from protesting within 100 metres of ‘drag show story hour’ events where children are exposed to sexually provocative men.
Gondek said the children’s rights activists were “hateful.”
Last month, just days after Gondek called for Drag-Queen Story Hour protesters to be fined, some were attacked while peacefully protesting in front of Calgary city hall. One parent was spit on and another was punched.
