Brazil’s socialist President Lula has urged Brazilian consumers to stop buying expensive products so that prices can go down, in reference to Brazilians concerned with food inflation.

“If consumers stop buying the product, the companies will be forced to bring prices down,” he said in a video reposted on February 6th.
The video has been a viral sensation among conservative Brazilians who know that citizens will have a hard time parting ways with essential food items, knowing that much of the inflation facing the country is related to government policies themselves.
Brazil’s Lula came under scrutiny from conservatives in Brazil and around the world when his government ordered Elon Musk’s X to shut down in Brazil, a movement that even received support from the Supreme court.
Lula called for X’s shutdown after the platform refused to follow court orders to remove profiles that were spreading “disinformation”.
Food inflation experienced in Brazil is also happening in Canada under Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government, exposing just how similar the approach of both left leaning regimes has been.
Trudeau congratulated Lula for having “progressive priorities” which he shares, notably a woke agenda and climate change policies that hurt their economy.
Moreover, the Trudeau government has been attempting to combat “disinformation” through digital censorship.
