Canada’s military woes are ‘widespread,’ leaks show

The Washington Post reported on an alleged  “trove of classified documents” from anonymous authors that was leaked on the online chat platform Discord.

Last week, an alleged member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard was arrested by the FBI for leaking sensitive US Intelligence documents. Among the intel is dirt on Canada, reports The Washington Post.

The leaker put the intel on the online chat platform Discord to a small group of friends.

The document states that “Widespread defense shortfalls hinder Canadian capabilities,” and these shortcomings are “straining partner relationships and alliance contributions.”

The leak also shows that Trudeau has informed NATO that Canada’s commitments won’t be met, including personnel commitments to Latvia.

Last year, Canada’s Defense Minister Anita Anand admitted that Canada has “exhausted inventory from the Canadian Armed Forces.”

“There are capacity issues,” she added.

This said, since the war started in February of last year, Canada has donated over $1 billion to help Ukraine fight Russia, which includes military equipment and training.

But with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) suffering from recruitment challenges, NATO and NORAD have taken note.

The document states that NATO is “concerned,” and NORAD says Canada lacks ”significant Arctic capabilities, and modernization plans have not materialized despite multiple public statements.”

The US has been urging Canada to improve its military for years.

Critics have suggested that Canada has wokified its military with racist “anti-racist” values, and gibberish gender ideology, leading to a lack of enthusiasm among people who are willing to die for their country.

Indeed, nestled deep within the Liberal government’s 2022 budget is a whopping $100.5 million in taxpayer funding for “gender identity” culture change and training in the Canadian Armed Forces.
