Over a hundred far-left activists stormed the capital in Oklahoma on Monday, where the Governor delivered his legislative agenda – including protecting children from irreversible medical surgeries.
“Trans-lives matter” chants broke out among activists protesting potential legislation that would make it illegal for doctors to provide gender transition procedures to anyone under 26 years old.
“A mob of #trans activists took over the Oklahoma Capitol building to try & stop the state’s Republican lawmakers from passing bills that would outlaw the transitioning of minors & require teachers to inform parents if students identify as trans,” tweeted Andy Ngo.
“Militant #trans activists occupied Oklahoma Capitol on Monday to try to stop conservative lawmakers from passing bills banning the transitioning of children in the state, as well as restrictions on teachers hiding trans identity of students from parents,” Ngo added.
Subsequently, a ‘State of the State’ speech by Republican Governor Kevin Stitt took place in the capital. Stitt said if minors can’t vote or buy alcohol, they shouldn’t be able to have their genitals or breasts removed surgically.
“That’s why I’m calling for the legislature to send me a bill that bans all gender transition surgeries and hormone therapies on minors in the state of Oklahoma,” he said, leading to a standing ovation.
On social media, non-woke figures said the far-left activists who stormed the capital would have been labelled “insurrectionists” if they were of a different ilk.
In recent months, there’s been an uptick of de-trans individuals speaking about the long term consequences and their deep regret of mutilating their bodies as children.
In Canada, politicians have mostly avoided pushing back against the gender ideology craze – except People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier and other PPC members.
“The promotion of that radical trans ideology is bad for our society,” Bernier said last month.
