The federal government is funding smear campaigns against school board candidates who are pushing back against the far-left policies overtaking public education.
State broadcaster CBC ran a hit piece on Thursday against so-called “scores of anti-trans candidates.”
“Boschy, the trustee candidate in Ottawa, said he wanted to repeal a policy that gives students final say about whether parents are informed if they identify as a different gender at school,” the CBC writes.
Shannon Boschy is one of several school board candidates deemed “anti-trans” by CBC because he believes parents deserve to know if their nine-year-old daughter suddenly identifies as a boy — or another gender.
Current policies at public schools allow teachers to hide this information from parents to “protect” children.
Boschy is running for Zone 6 in Ottawa and is open in his opposition to gender ideology.
“I believe we are dealing with a social contagion,” he tweeted.
He included a graph highlighting the surging number of patient referrals to gender identity clinics in Canada.
And the issue is personal to him. His daughter started to believe she was not female, and her school hid the matter from Boschy while affirming the child’s gender dysphoria.
Additionally, CBC laments how some “far-right anti-trans” candidates want to remove books that teach elementary school students about the joys of oral sex.
CBC refers to this type of content as “gender-inclusive” messaging and suggests those opposed to it are anti-trans bigots.
Accept far-left gender ideology or be denounced as a bigot
A site called HelpfulProfessor.com claims there are 81 gender identities, not two. Yet, the number of “new” genders increases so often that the statistic is likely to be considered transphobic by publication.
One gender, called “Novigender,” refers to someone who can’t describe their gender because it’s hard to locate. Meanwhile, “Pangender” is someone who identifies as having multiple genders — so any of the other 80 genders.
An Ontario parent recently snapped a picture of a poster in their child’s K-8 public school. The poster shows a cartoonish young female wearing a breast-flattening piece of equipment with the subheading “men are men.”
The poster, visible to seven-year-olds, also states, “Women are women, regardless of sex,” and, “You can be both, or a mix of the two. Or you can be neither, if that suits you.”
Mark Paralovos is also under attack from CBC. He’s running for school board wards 1 and 5 in Guelph. Paralovos spoke to The Counter Signal after learning the CBC called him “anti-trans.”
“Teachers aren’t trained in facilitating gender transitions and they’re not supposed to deliver programming outside of an Individual Education Plans if a child is distressed or experiencing a mental health issue,” he said.
“It is the responsibility of teachers to include the parents in important discussions about their kids.”
“Misrepresenting me as someone who is attempting to harm kids ignores the harm done by well-meaning people to children because they refused to question the fad of the day.”
He’s referring to the exponential growth of children who identify as a gender other than their biological sex.
The far-left Canadian Anti-Hate Network
The federal government has also funded a non-profit organization called Canadian Anti-Hate Network (CAHN). In Wednesday’s article, titled Ottawa School Board Trustee candidates’ platforms include far-right and transphobic views, the piece attacks Chanel Pfahl, another school board candidate in Ottawa.
“The former science teacher repeatedly posts and retweets anti-trans statements, fear-mongering about “Critical Race Theory,” and far-right media figures on her Twitter account,” CAHN states.
Pfahl was suspended by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) in March 2021 after expressing online opinions challenging Critical Race Theory. Since March 2022, the OCT has been investigating her comments.
Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a collectivist ideology that pre-judges people according to their skin pigmentation, rather than judging individuals by their character. Once considered racist by left-wing liberals, the pre-judgement is now required for those who hold the worldview.
Pfahl believes the ideology is detrimental to all students. The Ottawa Citizen published her reaction to the smear campaign against her.
“The current unhealthy fixation with gender, identity politics and victimization will not put our students in a position to face the challenges of the next decades,” she said.
“As trustee, I will look for opportunities to bring students, teachers and administrations together in pursuit of their core mission of delivering educational excellence.”
Lasting Consequences
Over the past year, the results of far-left ideologies that dominate public institutions have come home to roost.
Canadian schools have created segregated spaces for students based on ethnicity. There are reports of students telling white classmates to leave areas because of their skin colour.
And scores of de-transitioned people (former trans-identifying individuals) are going public to inform the world about life-altering surgeries’ consequences.
Reddit has an online “de-trans” community of over forty thousand members.
“There’s so many people who regret this,” cried one de-transitioned individual on Twitter.
“There’s more and more and more coming out — and younger too — and puberty blockers. They’ve been on puberty blockers and you know, I read one that, he went on puberty blockers at 16 and now he’s 21 and he’s suicidal because his penis won’t grow anymore. It does damage. It makes me so angry. And what we’re going to get is a generation that screwed up.”
“It’s accelerating quite quickly. When we get 30-40 year olds that are like what the fuck did I do when I was like 16? And you can’t go back. You can’t go back.”
