Canada’s Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland had a secret meeting with the World Economic Forum (WEF) during her Davos trip in January, documents reveal.
The Epoch Times reports that the meeting was undisclosed. Neither the WEF’s public program nor Freeland’s itinerary showed the meeting took place.
The Conservative Party of Canada MP Leslyn Lewis discovered the secret meeting after filing an order paper which showed Freeland’s meeting covered “the war in Ukraine and paths for private sector capital to offer support.”
Lewis’ order paper followed enormous backlash on social media, particularly on Twitter, surrounding Freeland’s involvement with WEF.
Many contend that Freeland’s membership on the WEF’s Board of Trustees represents a clear conflict of interest according to restrictions set forth in section 15(1) of the 2006 Conflict of Interest Act.
Canada has long been suspected to be controlled by the WEF ever since the globalist organization’s chairman Klaus Schwab said that he had “penetrated the [Canadian] cabinet.”
Also at the meeting was Dutch PM and WEF acolyte Mark Rutte, John Kerry of the US, Britain’s former PMs Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Just days after the secret meeting, Canadian Minister of National Defence Anita Anand wrote an op-ed in the National Post, essentially pledging unlimited funds for “as long as it takes” for Ukraine to win the war.
“Over the past 12 months, Canada has spent over $5 billion in aid for Ukraine — including arms and military equipment, ammunition and artillery shells, vehicles and training, as well as humanitarian and economic assistance,” Anand said.
The Epoch Times further reports that Finance heads from Blackrock, General Atlantic, and Carlyle Group also attended the secret meeting with the WEF stooges.
