Google has dealt yet another blow to the woke industry in 2025 by removing from their default calendar settings a number of woke events including Pride month, black history month, and women’s history month.

Google removes Pride month and black history month from default calendar

A spokesperson for Google said the sheer number of cultural events “wasn’t scalable or sustainable,” as reported by The Verge

These moves can be seen as a part of a wider private sector chain reaction to President Trump’s executive order that dismantled federal DEI programs.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta has also shifted toward freedom and away from censorship—at least after Trump’s election win—when they abandoned their left-wing-biased fact-checking mechanisms.

Walmart, Target, and other stores have also removed DEI initiatives in response to the massive public political pressure against these policies.

Even Disney recently ditched its DEI program known as “reimagine tomorrow,” and announced an initiative to hire more US military veterans, a demographic that leans heavily towards Trump

Google also signalled compliance with Trump’s executive order on the Gulf of Mexico name change, by adding the name Gulf of America to its map, while also including the rival term, in similar fashion as it does with the Persian/Arab gulf.
