Health Minister says feds won’t forcibly vaccinate you, just force you out of work and restrict movement

Following Quebec’s decision to impose a tax on the unvaccinated simply for remaining unvaccinated, Federal Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos says they have no intention of “forcibly, physically vaccinating” Canadians.

Instead, Duclos says that various measures to twist the arms of Canadians, as they have been doing for over a year through vaccine mandates and passports, should suffice in compelling vaccine refuseniks to get the jab.

“No one, I believe, is thinking or certainly speaking of forcibly, physically vaccinating people in Canada,” Duclos said during a news conference.

It’s a sad day in Canada when the citizens of this once-proud nation need reassurance from federal officials that this isn’t on the table — but here we are.

“What we have done at the federal level is to put into place vaccine mandates that do work. Around borders. Around transportation, air, and train. Around the workplaces, federal public service, the RCMP, the armed forces,” Duclos continued.

In other words, the federal government won’t literally break down your door and stick a needle in you. Instead, they’ll just take away your ability to earn a living and feed yourself, restrict your movement, and ban you from the public square.

“That works,” proclaimed Duclos. “It protects workers. It protects those around them. It increases vaccination, as well.”

PM Justin Trudeau is, of course, completely in favour of these discriminatory measures, stating, “As we’ve said, incentives and strong measures, whether it’s vaccine passports, whether it’s requirements for travellers, whether it’s the requirements for public servants to be fully vaccinated, we have taken very strong measures in the past.”

“And they have worked in terms of keeping Canadians safe and getting Canadians vaccinated.”

Trudeau did not comment on the situation developing in Quebec, wherein people will be forced to pay a tax due to their medical status, merely stating that it’s of “interest” and repeating his desire to see more Canadians vaccinated.
