While activists lament the “transphobic” act of playing the Harry Potter-themed Hogwarts Legacy video game, it’s quickly breaking all-time popularity records.
Activists had called for a boycott of the game before its release date and continue to do so due to its association with JK Rowling.
Gamers who had the gall to play the game have been widely attacked online by far-left activists.
“I got called a bigot. I got called transphobic, homophobic,” one person said in an interview with the Times.
“I got called a piece of human garbage. I got called total scum — that’s just to name a few.”
SteamDB shows the game is the third most played of all time despite being released less than two weeks ago. And, according to TwitchMetrics, Hogwarts Legacy has been viewed for over 58 million hours combined – already the fifth most amount of hours of all time.
The Harry Potter author Rowling has been an outspoken critic of trans ideology and the woke cult. In several Twitter threads, Rowling has called out the groupthink of the community and how it launches witch hunts against its critics.
Rowling apparently receives royalties from the game’s sales, and Newsweek claims she makes between $50 — $100 million in royalties per year for all things Harry Potter-themed.
Last year, Rowling scorched slob Youtuber Vaush as an abuser on Twitter after he told her to “shut the f*ck up.”
“What you and your ilk fail to appreciate is how tediously familiar I find your tactics,” she said.
“I had a violent ex-husband who used to tell me life would be great if only I’d comply.”
“But you’re making the same mistake he did. Women like me can’t be bullied out of resistance.”
