Indigenous Chief thanks Poilievre, says ‘Make Canada Great Again’

One day after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Pierre Poilievre wants to “make Canada great again,” an Indigenous Chief asked the Conservative leader to do just that.

Indigenous Chief thanks Poilievre, says ‘Make Canada Great Again’

The exchange took place in Vancouver where Poilievre announced his support for an optional First Nations Resource Charge, a proposal that would give First Nations communities more control over revenue generated from resources projects on their lands.

Indigenous Chief Trevor Makadahay thanked Poilievre for the support — something he implied the Trudeau Government wasn’t providing – while saying that together, they could “make Canada great again.”

The video has gone viral since posted at 3pm MT, with Indigenous socail media user Brattani posting “We’re so back!”

The now-backfired Trumpian phrase was intended as a jab from Trudeau on Wednesday when he implied that Poilievre was just like Donald Trump.

“What [Poilievre] is proposing to do is to make Canada great again — that is not what Canadians want,” the Prime Minister said.

While Trudeau had never used that phrase until Wednesday, the Prime Minister started to demonize Poilievre by aligning him with Trump since he hired a branding specialist, Max Valiquette, in November of last year.

The Trudeau Liberals’ social media account has posted multiple attack ads against Poilievre, suggesting he’s the “far-right” Canadian version of Donald Trump.

One ad shows Pierre Poilievre criticizing the 81 genders theory, accusing the Conservative leader of bringing “American far-right” politics into Canada.

Another ad includes videos that cut back and forth between Trump and Poilievre both using the word “woke.”

Trudeau Liberals desperate amid poor polling

Amid Trudeau’s terrible polling numbers, Canada’s former ambassador to Washington, David MacNaughton, noted how desperate the Liberals have become.

“I would be trying to make sure that there weren’t any huge blow-ups in our relationship with the Americans between now and our (Canadian) election,” MacNaughton said, noting the very real possibility that Donald Trump becomes the next US President and responds negatively to all the smears.
