New Democrat Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh was recently caught carrying a name brand bag, his newest show of his opulent lifestyle.
Singh was photographed exiting a Toronto Sheraton hotel with a Versace bag in hand last Friday.
“More hypocrisy from the bureaucracy,” said Rebel News journalist Tamara Ugolini, who originally blew the whistle on Singh.
“Despite his party’s purported focus on ‘workers rights’ and ‘income inequality,’ Singh is known for lavish taste and bespoke suits,” she added.
The tote bags can range from $1000 to $2000. Social media users suggested Singh’s may have been a 2017 model, which, even as a used model, can still go for about $1,000 CDN.
This however, is not the first of Singh’s many escapades of extravagant living in a nation plagued with inflation, high interest rates, and a housing crisis.
Jagmeet Singh’s obsession with luxury
Singh has been known for wearing $2,000 bespoke suits, as well as sporting a $1,600 Canada Goose parka. However, he was later seen wearing an highly expensive ‘animal friendly’ parka, to which leftists applauded him for the switch.
Singh has also been called out for owning two Rolex watches, as well driving a BMW coupe. The champagne socialist also has six designer bicycles, to which he previously expressed his fanaticism, “I have just an absurd number of bikes.”
More prominent in social media was his 2014 stunt in which he advertised for the Yorkdale Shopping Centre while posing with a gold Rolex watch.
Rags to riches for Jagmeet Singh
In 2021, the NDP party leader blasted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in an attempt to identify with the past struggles of Canadian Natives, saying, “I’m not Justin Trudeau. I’m not like him. I’ve lived a different life.”
He further added, “I understand the pain of being someone that’s not valued, not worth anything.”
However, the facts appear to remain contrary. After Jagmeet’s family immigrated to Canada, his father worked on his Canadian medical certification to be a psychiatrist, a qualification he needed after his education as a physician in India was not recognized in Canada.
However, after his father’s qualification as a psychiatrist, the family grew in wealth quickly, proving to be lucrative enough to send Singh to an American private school, the same one that former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer attended.
The 44-year-old Singh lived with his parents up until 2018, after which he moved into a $800,000 house his father bought in 2016.
Singh has also been seen on the runway of the Toronto Men’s Fashion Week, as well as being labelled one of Toronto’s “most devoted partygoers…”
More recently, Singh lambasted Trudeau and Conservative leader Pierre Poilievere for favouring “rich investors” in the housing market. However, he was later slammed for his post when later it was brought to light that Singh’s wife owns a rental property in Burnaby B.C.
