Male Canadian Liberal MPs who paraded around in high heels to support women have been mocked internationally by the likes of JK Rowling and Ben Shapiro.

Last week, Liberal MPs put on pink high heels and sashayed around the office. The gesture has been a sign of showing support for women, despite the fact the Liberals can’t define what a woman is.
“Keep us posted on how many femicides this prevented,” the Harry Potter author Rowling said in response.

The women’s rights advocate Rowling has found the spotlight a few times for noting how ‘trans-rights’ seem to come at the expense of women.
Several other international commentators mocked the Liberals’ performative virtue signaling.
“This in itself is an act of violence,” wrote the Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro.

“No, this isn’t satire,” wrote the news outlet Not the Bee.
“These male Canadian lawmakers showed their support for women by prancing around in little pink high heels.”
American commentator Jack Posobiec also chimed in.
“Canadian MPs prance about in hot pink high heels to raise awareness about domestic violence against women,” he said.
On Friday, the Russian state-broadcaster Sputnik headlined the incident.
“Canadian MPs parade in pink high heels in the latest ‘effort’ to end violence against women,” it said.
Over the years, Some male Conservative MPs have also engaged in the stunt, including former party leader Erin O’Toole.
Larry Brock was considered by many to be one of the most conservative MPs in Canada…

Liberal Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra called the critics of the performance “insecure men.”
“Ironic that those who complain about how easily offended society is are easily offended by a simple gesture,” Alghabra said.
