Moments after the American Supreme Court overturned Roe. V. Wade (effectively making abortion a State issue), Canadian Liberals jumped at the opportunity to exploit it for their own political gain.
“Today is a dark day for women around the world,” Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly tweeted.
“This reversal of decades of hard-fought gains will endanger the lives of women across the United States and jeopardize further rights. We must remember that no country is immune: Your voice matters. Your vote matters.”
Of course, Justin Trudeau couldn’t hold back either:
“No government, politician, or man should tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her body. I want women in Canada to know that we will always stand up for your right to choose.”
During his live show, Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro lambasted Trudeau, sarcastically saying, “Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau is sounding off — because we needed his opinion. Justin Trudeau, handsome Bernie Sanders.”
“…Trying to internationalize the abortion issue to Canada is definitely a unique one from our neighbours to the North.”
“Conservative” leadership candidate Jean Charest also, of course, echoed Trudeau’s sentiments.
Indeed, it was an outright hypocritical take from the King of Mandates, Justin Trudeau.
Just prior to this, in an interview with his government-funded media lapdogs at the CBC, Trudeau said there are “consequences” to those who didn’t hand over their bodies to the government and get jabbed with experimental vaccines.
“It was their choice, and nobody ever was going to force anyone into doing something they don’t want to do,” Trudeau said Saturday.
“But there are consequences when you don’t. You cannot choose to put at risk your co-workers. You cannot choose to put at risk the people sitting beside you on an airplane.”
This internationalizing of an American issue has become common for Trudeau’s liberals.
Besides abortion, after the mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, the Liberals were quick to exploit the tragedy and subsequently announced new gun-control measures.
It isn’t clear if the Liberals will respond similarly in this instance, further cementing abortion into Canadian law.
