A 22-year-old Toronto man has been released on bail with 146 charges and likely dozens of victims.

Man released on bail with 146 charges

This individual’s latest offense came on February 9 after he emailed a fake e-transfer receipt to someone selling an electronic device through Facebook Marketplace, leading to his arrest.

The serial criminal was found with a loaded firearm, extended magazines and additional ammunition, as well as some fentanyl.

In response, the Toronto Police Association is calling on the public to push the federal government to implement bail reform in order to address public security.

“146 charges. Out on bail. Dozens of victims. How many chances do repeat offenders get?” the group posted to social media.

They added: “Ask those running for Prime Minister—what’s their plan to stop this?”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s approach to bail has given amnesty to individuals accused of possessing and using firearms illegally —  while he’s simultaneously pushed for gun grabs from law-abiding gun owners.

Last year, Peel Police Service Board in Ontario pleaded with the Liberal government to address substantive bail reform after yet another string of robberies targeting LCBO locations

Another shocking case that came to light last year in August was a Brampton man who was charged with sexually assaulting a 3-year-old, in October 2022.
