A ‘May Day’ rally-turned-riot broke out on the streets of Montreal, where far-left activists smashed windows of businesses while carrying Communist banners.
“The truckers were peaceful protesters, and yet the establishment demonized them as violent insurrectionists,” Maxime Bernier tweeted. “Far-left Antifa are violent thugs who openly want to destroy society, and yet you never hear anyone condemn them.”
Of course, far from invoking the Emergencies Act, Trudeau made no mention of the riot or the rioters attacking innocent people.
“No Emergencies Act for them, no riot police, no bank account seizures. They’re violent thugs, but they’re Trudeau’s violent thugs. So Trudeau’s police and Trudeau’s journalists are fine with it,” Rebel News’s Ezra Levant noted in a Tweet.
Police reportedly used tear gas to disperse the crowd.
May Day is supposedly a workers’ rights rally that takes place across many cities at the global level. However, the rallies almost always turn into riots, where Antifa radicals, wearing all black and face masks, destroy businesses and promote communism.
Indeed, another May Day rally was captured with pro-communist flags being waved in Ottawa.
Global News Chief Political Correspondent David Akin favourably documented the rally as an “old-school downtown Ottawa protest.” Akin’s tweet includes a video that reveals at least two protestors waving the Soviet Union’s hammer-and-sickle flags, paying homage to the murder of several million people in the 20th century under Joseph Stalin’s brutal regime.
Several replies to Akin’s cheerleading indicate the shock and dismay at his apparent lack of concern towards the communist flags that were clearly visible. To date, he has not responded to these concerns.
The pro-socialist/communist, anti-capitalist movement is gaining steam across Canada, which mainstream media outlets ignore while being perfectly content in demonizing peaceful trucker rallies with fake news stories that continue to pile up.
