Conservative MP Cheryl Gallant utterly eviscerated the Trudeau Liberals for their short-staffed military and abysmal recruitment numbers.
The MP for Renfrew–Nipissing–Pembroke went viral on Tuesday in a clip shared on social media.
“Recruitment is cratering under this Prime Minister because Canadians know the truth,” Gallant said.
“How can you have a national defense if the Prime Minister believes we live in a post-nation state?” she asked.
Gallant’s comment is a reference to Prime Minister Trudeau’s 2017 comment that Canada is just that – a “postnational state.”
“These Liberals believe Canada is a racist, colonial oppressor state. When radical extremists pull down statues, this Prime Minister sides with the vandals,” she continued.
Gallant added, “He’d rather apologize for the country than celebrate it.”
“What message do you think that sends to potential recruits?”
Gallant further pointed to the undemocratic nature of a recent non-binding motion passed at the Liberal convention that aims to censor news stories that come from anonymous sources.
Last month, leaked intelligence documents suggested that Canada’s military woes are “widespread,” and Trudeau knows NATO commitments won’t be met.
The document states that NATO is “concerned,” and NORAD says Canada lacks ”significant Arctic capabilities, and modernization plans have not materialized despite multiple public statements.”
The US has been urging Canada to improve its military for years.
Critics have suggested that Canada has wokeified its military with racist “anti-racist” values, and gibberish gender ideology, leading to a lack of enthusiasm among people who are willing to die for their country.
Indeed, nestled deep within the Liberal government’s 2022 budget is a whopping $100.5 million in taxpayer funding for “gender identity” culture change and training in the Canadian Armed Forces.
