The New Democrat Party (NDP) went full Marxist at its three day convention in Hamilton by telling attendees who wished to participate in debates to line up according to their gender and ethnicity.
“A reminder that we will enforce gender parity at the mics,” said one of the hosts.
“Please remember to give space to those who face systemic barriers and discrimination including women, black, indigenous, and racialized folk in particular, people living with disability, and 2SLGBTQIA+ folk.”
The NDP even assigned yellow cards to everyone who wasn’t White or male so that they could hold them up while in line and gain access to the front of the line.
“Our convention has special speaker priority for gender equity. If you identify with a gender other than men for the purpose of equity seeking rule, you will have received a piece of yellow card stock during the registration process.”
Equity over Equality
In August, the NDP’s Matthew Green issued his full support for discrediting White or light skinned individuals on account of their skin tone through “anti-racism” training sessions — something he claims is necessary to fight anti-black racism.
Green’s declaration came after an Ontario principal, Richard Bilkszto, took his own life amid a lawsuit with his school board, after Bilkszto was allegedly shamed and berated during a hostile diversity training session.
“Every single anti-racist and equity worker that is doing this work is effective in dismantling white supremacy,” Green said to the crowd at Hamilton’s City Hall.
Singh passes leadership review
The NDP’s federal leader, Jagmeet Singh, faced a mandatory leadership review at the convention and survived it with 81% of delegates’ support.
However, Singh’s support has dropped from the last review in 2022 when 87% of delegates voted against triggering a leadership race.
