A viral clip of a popular kids’ show on Netflix features a boy dancing in a dress for two gay dads, sparking outrage amongst social media users.
The recent Netflix episode of CocoMelon Lane shows a gay cartoon couple encouraging their boy to “break out those moves for your two biggest fans,” to which the boy emerges in a tutu and tiara, dancing for his homosexual dads.
The fathers are featured singing a song for their confused boy who doesn’t know what he should wear.
“Just be you!” they sing to him. The boy proceeds to come out of his closet dressed in a tutu and tiara to his fathers’ delight.
An X account that goes by the name End Wokeness posted the video Wednesday morning, achieving 5.4 million within just a few hours.
Social media outrage
The viral video sparked outrage amongst parents and the public on social media, many likening it to child grooming and abuse.
Other users called for families to switch to television alternatives, such as children’s shows from the Daily Wire that depict wholesome and safe content.
“This I took personally. This feels like they’re going after my son Winchester who loves Cocomelon,” said Frank Fleming, a Daily Wire children’s show writer.
“The left has this weird religion about sexuality, and they can’t stand the thought of a four-year-old not knowing about it,” he added.
Produced by Moonbug Entertainment, Cocomelon Lane premiered on Netflix on November 17th.
Earlier this year, the production company announced they intend to expand its preschool show offerings.
In March, the CBC broadcasted a feature with drag performers making children uncomfortable while indoctrinating them with gender ideology.
