Ontario breaks COVID hospitalization record by testing people hospitalized with other illnesses

The Ontario government is using record-breaking hospitalizations to justify renewed lockdowns. The only problem is that Ontario only broke this record by administering rapid antigen and PCR tests to people in the hospital for unrelated issues.

As The Star reports, “The number of patients in hospital with COVID-19 topped 2,000 on Wednesday. That’s up about 800 from the previous day and almost triple the level of a week ago, although the number includes hundreds requiring care for other conditions but testing positive for the coronavirus.”

In other words, this spike in supposed COVID patients isn’t even necessarily a result of COVID. This spike in cases is more likely a result of over-testing. It is entirely incidental but is being used to justify a fresh wave of lockdowns.

But how did they get this astronomical, daily figure? Again, by administering more tests, a whopping 59,000 in 24 hours, to people who weren’t necessarily symptomatic.

Furthermore, there are now 288 supposed COVID patients in the ICU, a 124 rise in adult patients in one week. However, with such dubious reporting and intentionally misconstruing those with seasonal illnesses like the flu, pneumonia, or entirely unrelated ailments, how can we trust that the new ICU patients are truly COVID patients? We can’t. For all we know, there was an uptick in car crashes due to worsening road conditions and health care workers are swabbing them before they’re admitted to surgery. We simply don’t know.

Despite undoubtedly knowing this, the NDP and Liberals are now demanding that Ontario Premier Doug Ford calls in the military to help with ‘COVID hospitalizations’ — whatever that even means anymore.

“There are urgent steps that need to be taken to make sure that a tough situation does not become that much worse,” Ontario Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca said.

“There are a lot of front-line, health-care workers who have walked away,” said Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath, “who are burnt out and have left the profession.”

“We need a strategy to get those people back,” she continued, not addressing the fact that the health care shortage isn’t from burnout, but the fact that over 10,000 workers were forced out of their jobs due to vaccine mandates.

In other words, if there’s a health care worker shortage, it is entirely the government’s fault.

New case numbers make this fact all the worse. Yesterday, while Ontario was breaking hospitalization records with dubiously collected data, the government also recorded 13,339 new cases (who knows how many are even real). 1,797 who are unvaccinated, 452 who are partially vaccinated, and 10,648 who are fully vaccinated.

It looks like it’s a pandemic of the vaccinated after all!

So, if the vast majority of COVID cases are vaccinated — disproportionately so — why is the vaccine passport or vaccine mandates still in place? It doesn’t make sense. But then again, none of this makes sense.
