Another damning poll against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has revealed that just one in four Canadians want him to run in the next federal election.

Only 25% of Canadians want Trudeau to run in the next election, poll shows

The poll, sanctioned by the Globe and Mail, is just the latest among a number that reveal Canadians are done with the current Prime Minister.

57% of respondents said they want Trudeau to resign before the next election, and 15% said they have no preference.

Last month, an Abacus Data poll showed that over two-thirds of Canadians want Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to resign before the next election.

The Prime Minister has repeatedly maintained that he will run in the next election, including after a chaotic caucus meeting last month that saw a number of his own MPs asking him to resign. As many as forty MPs were reportedly prepared to demand new leadership during the event.

Following the meeting, asked if he will remain leader despite the growing sentiment, Trudeau said “Yes.”

Earlier this month, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith told reporters that she believes the Prime Minister is actively trying to destroy Canada before he loses the next election.
