Ontario MPP Goldie Ghamari has been removed from the Ontario PC Party caucus for having the audacity to speak to Tommy Robinson while he’s in Canada.
According to a written statement from a party spokesperson this morning, Ghamari was removed from caucus over “serious lapses in judgment”, referring to her speaking to Tommy Robinson.
“This decision follows repeated instances of serious lapses in judgment and a failure to collaborate constructively with caucus leadership and as a team member,” the statement reads.
“While this decision did not come easily, it has become clear that MPP Ghamari can no longer continue in her role within our caucus.”
Ghamari said that she wasn’t aware of Tommy Robinson or his history, which includes fighting for the rights and interests of native-born British people in the UK in the wake of mass Islamic migration and protecting Jews from acts of extremism; however, that didn’t matter to the Ontario PC Party.
According to CityNews, Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservatives received several calls from the National Council of Canadian Muslims expressing concern about Ghamari, pressure to which they have apparently capitulated.
The National Council of Canadian Muslims also accused Ghamari of “Islamophobic garbage” and said that “No apology is sufficient at this point for her latest ill-advised conduct”, i.e., committing the sin of speaking to Tommy Robinson.
It’s worth noting that Ghamari (if the last name didn’t give it away) is of Iranian descent. Her family came to Canada in 1986 after fleeing the Islamic takeover of Iran, something which she has been vocal about.
In response to Ghamari’s removal, Robinson wrote, “Whilst the Islamic republic of Iran control Iranian women’s speech & freedom, premier Doug ford does the same in Canada on behalf of the Muslim brotherhood. Wake up Canada your leaders are enemies to freedom.”
Ghamari is now taking her removal in stride, writing “When one door closes, another one opens” on X.
