A pro-Palestinian protester was photographed in Calgary doing a Nazi salute.
The man can be seen unquestionably raising his arm with the Nazi salute, while other protesters hold signs reading “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” a message often interpreted as calling for the genocide of Israeli Jews.
The current Israeli-Palestinian conflict has resulted in several jaw-dropping statements from public speakers and figures who have celebrated the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel, some even openly saying they support Hamas.
On Sunday in Vancouver, a pro-Palestinian protester Harsha Walia, the former director of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association, said of October 7, “How beautiful is the spirit to get free that Palestinians literally learned how to fly on hang gliders.”
Walie was referring to Hamas terrorists hang-gliding into a concert goers, many of whom they subsequently shot up and kidnapped.
Last week, Ontario’s CUPE president, Fred Hahn, semi-apologized after celebrating the October 7 attack on Israel as “the power of resistance around the globe.”
While Israel continues to attack Gaza in response to October 7, many politicians are calling for a ceasefire, as well as for Hamas to release all hostages.
