Pfizer medical expert refuses to answer basic questions about COVID vaccine during Senate interrogation

Pfizer’s “go-to” medical expert in Australia was royally embarrassed during a Senate hearing on the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 MRNA vaccines.

Pfizer medical expert refuses to answer basic questions about COVID vaccine during Senate interrogation

During an Education and Employment Legislation Committee hearing, Pfizer Australia’s expert, Dr. Krishan Thiru, was accused of being “very shifty” by Queensland Senator Matt Canavan.

Canavan asked Thiru if Pfizer tested whether its COVID vaccine could stop or reduce transmission of the virus, but Thiru continually dodged the question.

Canavan pointed out that Pfizer’s official Twitter account stated on January 14, 2021 that its highest priority was to mass vaccinate, reach herd immunity, and “stop transmission.”

“What evidence did Pfizer have to make that public statement that vaccination could stop transmission?”

Thiru admitted he was unaware of the statement, but repeated generic talking points about safety and effectiveness.

Another Queensland Senator, Gerard Rennick, had the so-called “go-to” medical expert admit that he wasn’t aware how Pfizer’s vaccine can cause myocarditis, despite knowing that it’s a possible side effect.

“I want you to explain to me why it causes myocarditis,” Rennick said.

Thiru again was unable to provide an answer, and ultimately agreed to follow up at a later date.

“We’re happy to take that question on notice,” Thiru said.

Last year, during a COVID hearing at the European Parliament, another Pfizer representative said it never tested the ability of its COVID vaccine to prevent transmission.

Liberals admit vaccine wasn’t tested normally for safety

Earlier this year, in a Canadian public accounts committee meeting, Liberal MP Anthony Housefather said vaccine companies like Pfizer couldn’t be held liable because they were pressured to “do [safety] testing in an unprecedented way, in a way that they normally don’t do it.”

“So these companies were exposed to way higher liability putting their products on market than they normally would because they didn’t do the type of testing that normally takes these drugs years to come to market, they did it all in less than a year,” Housefather said.

“So that’s why these companies said ‘If I’m going to deliver you these products that I haven’t tested in my normal way, I want to have different conditions,’” he added.
