Philanthropist W. Brett Wilson’s Garden Party raises $450k for youth mental health

This comes one year after the Alberta Medical Association announced “deeply troubling” survey results that indicated youth mental health had worsened since the COVID restrictions were implemented just two years prior.

Wilson’s Garden Party, hosted at his own home with no set ticket price, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to various charities over the years. The funds raised will be spread out toward a range of youth-focused mental health programs, designed to provide essential resources, counseling, and support to those facing mental health challenges.

Wilson expressed his gratitude through an email to donors at this summer’s event, also providing a YouTube video of the 2023 event, which featured Canadian country singer Brett Kissel.
