Poilievre calls for Trudeau to stop importing violence

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre took a shot at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s immigration policy on Monday after he recognized the disturbing uptick in antisemitic incidents across Canada.

Poilievre calls for Trudeau to stop importing violence

Poilievre’s statement comes on the same day that news broke that for a third time, a Jewish school in Montreal got shot at overnight.

The Conservative leader called for Trudeau to stop “importing the violence we see around the world into our country.”

He said everyone has their right to their own political views on the Middle East conflict between Israel and Gaza, but added that “You do not have a right to attack your fellow Canadians.”

“Conservatives call for anyone involved in such acts to be caught and jailed,” Poilievre said.

He further called on the Trudeau Government to label Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization, something the Liberals have refused to do.

Oct 7 fall out

Since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7 and Israel’s corresponding attack on Hamas-controlled Gaza, a number of incidents have taken place in Canada.

On top of the three times a Jewish school has been shot at in Montreal, there have been near daily calls for Israel to be wiped out “from the river to the sea” by pro-Palestine protesters.

Last week, video surfaced of a professor at the University of Montreal, Yanise Arab, yelling at a Jewish student to “go back to Poland, whore.”

There’s also been brazen intimidation of staff members at a Jewish cafe.

Occupation

On Friday, police arrested seven pro-Palestinian protesters who occupied Trudeau’s riding office in Montreal’s Villeray neighbourhood.
