The Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) is leading the Liberal Party in every age group, according to Abacus Data.
Abacus Data surveyed 2,486 adults across Canada between July 20 and 25.
The results also showed the CPC has pulled ahead of the Liberals with the female vote — a worrying stat for Trudeau, who’s historically dominated that demographic.
32% of women indicated they would vote for the CPC, compared to 28% choosing the Trudeau Liberals.
In 2020, 47% of women preferred the Liberals, compared to 23% of women wanting the Conservatives.
As for men, they now significantly prefer the Conservatives, compared to only marginally preferring them in 2020. 42% of men surveyed supported the CPC, compared to 28% choosing the Liberal Party.
“Despite vote share gains in some recent by-elections, the national picture remains quite challenging for the federal Liberals and Prime Minister Trudeau,” Abacus Data CEO, David Coletto stated.
“Only 19% think the government deserves to be re-elected,” he added.
Desperation Shuffle
With Poilievre leading, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just announced that seven MPs have been booted from his cabinet. Several others were shuffled from within the cabinet, and four others quit earlier this week.
In total, thirty changes have taken place, amid some of Trudeau’s worst polling numbers over his 8-year tenure as PM.

Trudeau has until 2025 before he’d need to face an election, though he can call one anytime he wants.
