As the federal election debates approach, one face is noticeably absent from the roster: People’s Party of Canada (PPC) Leader Maxime Bernier — despite surging ahead of the Green Party in popularity.
Now sitting comfortably in fifth place nationally, the PPC has risen from the ashes after many thought the party was doomed from the start.
Based on every up-to-date, popular poll, the PPC now sits somewhere between 3.8 per cent and 4.8 per cent, while the Green Party struggles to retain 3.4 per cent, and the Bloc Quebecois meanders at 6.1 per cent.

At the time of writing, 338 Canada has the PPC at 3.8 per cent, CBC has them at 4.8 per cent, and even left-wing outlets, like The Star, concede that the PPC, sitting at 4.5 per cent, are above the Greens.
Based on the CBC’s data, the PPC has gained most of its support in the last four months, rising from 2.6 per cent on June 16 to 4.8 per cent today — and the trend is not stopping. Conversely, the Green Party, which has had predominantly positive coverage, has dropped from 6.3 per cent to 3.4 per cent in the same time.
Moreover, the growth of PPC support seems to be exponential and correlates with several Provinces announcing vaccine passports — something which the PPC steadfastly opposes at every opportunity.

This week in both B.C. and Manitoba, Bernier addressed some of his largest crowds to date, wherein he promised to prevent the vaccine passport system and promoted peaceful revolution in the face of government tyranny. These events saw thousands in attendance and appear more impressive than anything the sitting Prime Minister has gotten in months.

Additionally, several prominent figures have endorsed Bernier and the PPC, with both political talk show host Lauren Chen and Mikhaila Peterson throwing their support behind the anti-tyranny movement.

Typically, such growth would warrant lengthy articles documenting the party’s progress, but that is not the case.

Despite this phenomenal traction in voter support, media coverage of the party is sparse. It took Bernier getting arrested in June over his refusal to quarantine while campaigning for any mainstream outlet to really take note.
Indeed, while the mainstream media slandered the PPC every chance they got in 2019, branding the party as “racist” despite Bernier’s objections, they have since adopted a new strategy: ignore the PPC and hope they go away. But it is not working.
The PPC has nestled itself comfortably in the hearts of liberty-loving Canadians by cultivating a distinctly pro-freedom platform in opposition to all other major parties which are complicit with government lockdowns and vaccine passport policies.
In short, so long as the federal government is content oppressing its citizenry, the PPC is here to stay.
