US Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ripped Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his “financial tyranny” over the Freedom Convoy protesters in 2022.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. becomes second US Presidential candidate to slam Justin Trudeau

Kennedy made his comments during an interview with Dr. Joseph Mercola, an outspoken Covid-19 vaccine skeptic, while the two were discussing the concerns of social credit scores coming to America.

Kennedy lauded the protesters for standing up for their rights that had been taken away from them by the government, such as freedom of movement, while calling the protest “very peaceful, kind of a joyous celebration.”

He went on to say that Trudeau’s response to the Freedom Convoy protest — namely freezing protesters’ bank accounts — convinced him that “financial tyranny” is just as dangerous as clamping down on free speech.

“Suddenly these people woke up one day and they could not pay their bills, they could not buy gasoline, they could not feed their children, and it occurred to be that transactional freedom is as important as freedom of expression because if you have a government that can essentially starve you to death and put you out of your home you can easily make an entire society a slave society,” Kennedy said.

The former Democrat – now independent candidate – became the second Presidential hopeful  to criticize Trudeau for his handling of the Freedom Convoy protest.

On Monday, Dr. Jordan Peterson chimed in on the development, posting to social media a message for Trudeau: “Your tyrannical shenanigans continue to generate ripples internationally.”

Last month, the smooth talking Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also slammed Trudeau over his treatment of Canadian truckers during the Freedom Convoy.
