Shanghai lockdowns are shocking

Millions in Shanghai, China, are being forced back into lockdowns, with measures taken by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) being some of the most extreme to date.

As the rest of the world opens, China is locking down, implementing a “zero-COVID” policy that sees children separated from their parents and taken by the State if they test positive and their parents do not.

As the Daily Mail reports, “… anyone found positive — even if they are asymptomatic or have a mild infection — must be isolated from non-infected people.”

“That includes children who test positive but whose family members do not, health officials confirmed on Monday, defending a policy which has spread anxiety and outrage across the city.”

“‘If the child is younger than seven years old, those children will receive treatment in a public health centre,’ Wu Qianyu, an official from the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, said Monday.”

Images and videos have emerged reportedly from the facilities, where toddlers can be seen jammed into metal cribs while crying out for their parents.

Videos have also gone viral of the authoritarian measures being used against innocent citizens in the streets. These videos show residents being forced to line up and kneel on the ground while health authorities in hazmat suits bark orders at them and check their vaccine passport QR-codes to decide whether they’ll have human rights this week.

Of course, all of this is made possible by China’s social credit score and digital ID, which many in the West are currently trying to implement.

To Westerners, all of this is shocking. However, China’s inhumane treatment of human beings should be no surprise.
On more than one occasion, videos have emerged from China of companies coercing workers into crawling on all fours like animals for failing to meet sales targets. For their part, the Chinese workers, out of fear of losing their jobs or having their social credit score lowered, complied.
