The Jekyll and Hyde game of Jagmeet Singh was on full display Monday, with the NDP leader calling on Justin Trudeau to resign, this time just one week after he voted to keep the Prime Minister in power.

Singh calls for Trudeau to resign one week after voting to keep him in power

Singh has voted in support of Trudeau remaining as Prime Minister three times since claiming he was “ripping up” his supply-and-confidence agreement with the Trudeau Liberals.

Despite his voting record, Singh is now once again saying that Trudeau needs to step down amid a chaotic morning for the Liberals—one that saw two ministers leaving the cabinet and two others calling for Trudeau to quit.

The federal Conservatives have called the NDP leader a “luxury pensioner,” stating that he’s only protecting Trudeau to ensure he qualifies for a lifetime pension.

Singh has denied that he’s holding out for his pension.

If an election were held today, the Conservatives are projected to dominate and win a majority. Singh would be one of many NDP MPs who would risk losing their seat.
