Disney’s Snow White film is getting shredded online before it’s even been released due to obvious signs of wokeness that has upset millions of fans.
The film is set to be released sometime in 2024.
Despite the 1937 animated classic describing Snow White as having “skin as white as snow,” the film’s director Marc Webb decided to cast a Hispanic actress, Rachel Zegler, to play the lead character.
Zegler has been making the rounds addressing the adaptations of the film, suggesting that the original version reinforces patriarchal stereotypes that are harmful to women.
In fact, Zegler claimed the 2024 version is not about a love story at all, the prince is not a main character, and it’s possible his scenes are cut from the film altogether.
“It’s really not about the love story at all which is really really wonderful,” she said during a Disney Expo event.
Not only is Snow White not White, but Disney has also decided that the seven dwarfs shouldn’t be dwarfs at all – or at least, six of them shouldn’t be.
“To avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community,” a Disney statement read.
This decision came after critics argued that the film may perpetuate damaging stereotypes about dwarfs. Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage said the idea of casting seven dwarfs as living in a cave was offensive to dwarfs, so Disney has decided that only one of the seven characters will actually be dwarfs.
Non-Woke pundits mock Disney
The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh mocked the film’s marketing strategy, musing how the actress playing Snow White is going around telling everyone how much she hates Snow White.
And former Fox News host Megyn Kelly said the movie has been “racialized to check every box they can, except for all the dwarf boxes because they’re offensive—I guess you can only have the one dwarf, that’s not offensive.”
“Disney is one of the biggest problems in the wokeification of America,” Kelly added.
“It’s a complete betrayal by a company that a lot of parents for decades trusted implicity.”
