A year ago, forced vaccination was decried by the mainstream media as the stuff of conspiracy theories, but now one of the top EU officials wants to force 27 sovereign member nations to legislate mandatory vaccination on their population.
This week, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that it’s time to open up debate on mandatory vaccinations for European citizens.
“One-third of the European population is not vaccinated. These are 150 million people. This is a lot,” von der Leyen told the media.
“It is understandable and appropriate to lead this discussion now – how we can encourage and potentially think about mandatory vaccination within the European Union. This needs discussion, this needs a common approach, but I think it’s a discussion that has to be led.”
As we all know, when elitists talk about “discussion” and debate, it usually means that only one side ever gets considered.
It is unclear how exactly von der Leyen hopes to force 150 million people to take a vaccine against their will.
Yet von der Leyen’s ideas are not novel; several EU states have already taken steps to mandate vaccinations on their unwilling citizens, including Austria and Germany out of all places.
In Austria, a country that has a 62.2% vaccination rate, the unvaccinated will face fines up to €7,200 for making a personal health decision not to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The law draft also doesn’t clarify whether booster shots will be required to be fully vaccinated.
As for Germany, incoming socialist Chancellor Olaf Scholz also wants to force mandatory vaccines on millions of Germans.
“We will pave the way for a decision of conscience by members of the German Bundestag about a general vaccine mandate that will come into force next year, in February or early March, and which everybody can get ready for now,” Scholz said. “I will vote in favour of such a law.”
If Europe is any indication of where the rest of the Western world is headed, people should be outraged.
Just this Sunday, the Dutch military police were deployed after a couple dared escape from quarantine camps so they could return to their home countries.
