The Toronto Blue Jays entire organization has condemned one of their players for the crime of sharing a social media post that quoted the Bible in support of the Bud Light boycott.
The Jays relief pitcher, Anthony Bass, shared a video post on Instagram created by a user named Ryan Miller.
Miller’s video showed him quoting scripture to encourage Christians to boycott Bud Light and Target for their respective anti-women and anti-children branding. (Bud Light reduced womanhood to a feeling, and Target sold Pride-friendly clothes to children, including bathing suits in the female section with a penis ‘tuck’.)
Chaos ensued. First, mainstream media outlets piled on Bass, calling for him to apologize. Some even said he should be kicked off the Blue Jays for good.
Bass caved to the pressure almost instantly. He deleted his post – but that wasn’t enough.
What’s followed is a North American struggle session, where anyone who thinks trans women aren’t actually women must repent and “educate” themselves until they do.
The next day at the Blue Jays clubhouse, Bass went to his manager’s office to apologize. The GM of the Blue Jays, Ross Atkins, was also present. But that wasn’t enough either.
His manager, John Schneider, told Bass that his apology needed to be louder. Bass then apologized to his teammates, as if Vladdy Guerrero Jr. honestly gave a flying fadoo.
Bass then issued an apology to the press.
“I recognized I made a post that was hurtful to the Pride community and I am truly sorry about that,” he said.
Of course, the apology tour alone wasn’t enough. Bass also said that “as of right now, I’m using the Blue Jays resources to better educate myself.”
During the game, after all that was said and done, Blue Jays announcers Dan Shulman and Joe Siddall piled on, where they both said Bass used “hateful” comments and supported the idea that he needed to reeducate himself.
Meanwhile, the Bud Light boycott is as strong as ever, showing that Bass is far from alone in his actual beliefs that he backed down from once the “inclusion” mob demanded compliance – or silence.
Anyone who dares to express their beliefs that there are only two genders, Christians or otherwise, is called “hateful” and “not inclusive.” In the name of inclusion, everyone must shut up or agree with the view that there are over 70 genders.
